Watch Brandon Flowers Play Two Flamingo Songs For KROQ

While in Los Angeles for a sold-out stop at the Troubadour, Brandon Flowers paid a visit to KROQ where he performed a couple tunes from his debut solo album Flamingo. Backed by a mostly acoustic setup Flowers and company run through the album's first single "Crossfire" as well as another of the new tracks "Hard Enough". Say what you will about the man's penchant for winged jackets, he certainly knows his way around a pop tune. It's not too late to see Flowers on his small club tour, although time is quickly running out, the remaining US dates are below. Flamingo is scheduled for a September 14th release.

Brandon Flowers Announces First Solo Dates In August

As Brandon Flowers prepares for the release of his debut solo album Flamingo, The Killers frontman has announced a five date US tour that in all likely is going to amount to some warm-up shows before a massive US tour. Set to start in the singer's hometown of Las Vegas on August 15th, the mini-tour will then take the wing-wearing Flowers to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and finally a closing show in New York.

As for the album, Flamingo is still scheduled for a September 14th release and that fancy image up above is the album artwork. The first single "Crossfire" has a ninja heavy video starring Charlize Theron you can check out here.

Tickets for the newly announced shows will be available through a presale at The Killers fanclub beginning on Wednesday July 21st, with a general public onsale taking place on Friday July 23rd through Ticketmaster. By my account that leaves only one question still unanswered, is he human or is he dancer?   [via CoS]

Update: Looks like Ticketmaster has an August 25th date listed in Toronto which would make sense although that has not been officially announced.

Brandon Flowers Gets Saved From Ninjas By Charlize Theron

If you just so happen to be really big fans of The Killers, Charlize Theron, and ninjas then today really is your lucky day. The first official video from Brandon Flowers' debut solo album Flamingo has hit the interwebs and it features Charlize Theron doing her best Kill Bill impersonation while saving The Killers frontman from a group of ninjas repeatedly. This is really annoying because the one time I was kidnapped by ninjas the celebrity vigilante that came to save me was Kathy Griffin. The only reason I made it out alive is because all the ninjas killed themselves, it was the honorable thing to do.

The song you're hearing is "Crossfire" which of course is the first single from the album. For anyone that is so inclined there is also a pretty boring Behind The Scenes thing from the video shoot included below. Flamingo is slated for a September 14th release.   [via CoS]

Brandon Flowers Goes Solo With Flamingo Or Is He Dancer?

Earlier this week a cryptic countdown appeared on The Killers website with the pot of gold at the end of the tunnel being the news that oft-winged frontman Brandon Flowers will be releasing a solo album which will be "coming soon". No other details are available as of yet so essentially there was a countdown for news that is coming soon, hooray. You can head over to his new solo site to sign up for the latest updates on the new solo album while a loop of what is presumably some new music plays in the background.   [via CoS]
