Band Of Horses Visit Morning Becomes Eclectic

It seems there have been quite a few Band of Horses videos lately, and while that's not a bad thing, and moreso a tribute to them getting out there, it's starting to flirt a bit with overkill. Ok, not really, it's always awesome. Here the band visits KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic for a nice acoustic set sans drummer. This one is definitely worth watching if only for the performance of "Compliments" that frontman Ben Bridwell claims was "mental Vietnam for me on guitar". Good stuff. Awesome setlist below.

  • Infinite Arms
  • Compliments
  • Laredo
  • No One’s Gonna Love You
  • Cigarettes, Wedding Bands
  • Older
  • Factory
  • The Marry Song

Watch Band Of Horses Huddle In A Balcony For Evening Kitchen

Apparently Band Of Horses have quite a bit of fun when they are on European tour. Earlier this week we posted a video of Ben Bridwell and company suprising a couple fans in Norway with a performance of "Marry Song" at their wedding, then just yesteday Rolling Stone posted this amazing rendition of the killer Infinite Arms track "Evening Kitchen" from earlier this year at Kulturkirche in Cologne, Germany. The awesome of this specific performance comes from the band huddling together up on a balcony to start their encore with the acoustic number.

The band starts a North American tour on September 23rd with a special show at Big Sur before heading across the country. As an added bundle of awesome they are even having SHA favorites Brad open up some midwest dates. For tour dates and tickets head on over to Ticketmaster.

Update: Video is after the jump thanks to stupid autoplay. It's good though, just click on that read more awesome link, you can do it.

Band Of Horses Actually Appear In New Laredo Video

It's not strange that Band Of Horses actually released a video from their latest collection of awesome Infinite Arms, but it is sort of rare that the band actually appears in said video. Maintaining the Americana vibe and the various aspects of nature so prevalent in much of their work, the "Laredo" video doesn't exactly go heavy on plot but it's nice to look at and happens to support one of my favorite tunes of the year.

Earlier this week the band added some hometown dates to their already extensive fall plans. Full North American itinerary is listed after the jump with tickets through the usual suspects.

Band Of Horses Bring Compliments To Ferguson

Fresh off of Pearl Jam tour, Band Of Horses paid a visit to the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson last night where they performed "Compliments" off their new album Infinite Arms. Personally I prefer their Letterman performance of "Laredo" but that's only because I haven't been able to get that song out of my head for the last month. Ben Bridwell and company are currently making their way up the coast eventually ending with a Sasquatch appearance on Monday.

For those in the Bay Area that are staying in town for the holiday weekend, Band of Horses will be appearing at Amoeba tomorrow afternoon before their sold out show at The Independent.

Band Of Horses Bring Laredo To Letterman

The new Band of Horses album Infinite Arms was officially released on Tuesday, and while the band has been busy with those Pearl Jam fellas they still made time for a visit to The Late Show with David Letterman. The song selection was especially pleasing as they played the killer track "Laredo" off of their even killerer new album.  Yes killerer, that's Danza for super awesome. If you still haven't checked out Infinite Arms you can get a free preview as the band is still streaming the album on their official site, then after you fall in love you can offer your support in the form of an album purchase.  Partay.   [via the audio perv]

Stream The Awesome New Band Of Horses Album Infinite Arms

We've already covered four of the ten tracks on the new Band Of Horses album Infinite Arms so your appetite should be sufficiently wettedWell now you can check out the rest as the new album is currently streaming in full over at the band's official site, as well as their Facebook page. My initial thoughts would quantify that record as pretty kickass, so I highly recommend giving it a listen. The album will be officially released on May 18th. Rock.

NW Apt Is Another New Band Of Horses Tune With Video

The whole "stream a new song from your upcoming album every week" thing is pretty awesome. Band Of Horses are certainly employing that method and the latest preview from their upcoming release Infinte Arms comes in the form of another nature filled video for the song NW Apt, which is definitely the most rocking of the new tunes. The album will be released May 18th but I'm sure there will be an official album stream well before that, we're almost halfway there already.   [via stereogum]

Check Out Factory, The Latest From The New Band Of Horses

Here is our third taste of the new Band Of Horses album Infinite Arms, the opening track Factory.  I'm sure it's no coincidence that the three tracks the fellas have previewed this far also make up the opening trio of the disc, so if you listen to them in the right order it will be just like you're listening to the new cd, although it won't end the same.

You can check out a stream of Factory below courtesy of Fader, or use the widget to sign up for the mailing list to get your own copy.

Band Of Horses Offer Up New Tune Laredo

Somewhere along the way today turned into listen to awesome new music day but I'm not complaining.  Here we have the new tune Laredo, the third track on the new Band Of Horses album Infinite Arms.  Unfortunately no shape shifting video accompaniment but another killer new tune to increase the excitement levels until the May 18th release.  The band is currently in Europe playing some dates, but they'll certainly be keeping busy this spring.

The Band Of Horses Compliments Video Features Nature Shapeshifting

When I told you yesterday that a new Band Of Horses single was being released, I didn't realize it would come with a fancy video.  It does, and you can see said video below in all its naturey glory.  A ton of different shots of mostly cold looking locations that keep morphing into each other.  Oh, and there's a kickass song playing in the background, which would be Compliments, the second track on the band's latest studio effort Infinite Arms. The album is set for a May 18th release.
