Holy Danza this is insane. There is a "movement" called The Restoration Of Stephen Baldwin. This "movement" is not a hipster irony thing. This is a religious based movement. There is a website. This is real. Holy Danza.
There's really not much more to say except for get on over to that website and do yourself some perusing. I was going to post some of the endorsement videos but they were so painfully slow and boring I couldn't last more than ten seconds. That's what she said. Luckily I found this sort of trailer type thing for the movement that sums it up all creepy like. Unbelievable, most likely a work of God. [via buzzfeed]
I felt like sort of a baby after reading my knee jerk whining about Mayan Holidaze. Whoa is me, a vacation to the Mayan Riviera. For some reason I feel like this picture of a guy taunting people with the deliciousness of his hamburger is appropriate.
I found this image somewhere on the interwebs a while ago, sorry source for not recognizing you. I still love you.
This is short but sweet, a quick little take on The Cars hit Let's Go. What's that you say internet?
mistressfreyja1313 Not liking the headband. I wonder if this was one of the "cheesy sequined costumes" Ryan was complaining about on the cast commentary on the 'Monster Squad DVD
It's like you read my mind mistressfreyja1313. I was just listening to that cast commentary yesterday.
I have no idea what this unbelievable Japanese game show is called but if I were to guess based on this clip I would say "Kissing Critters" or something cute like that. It's probably the grossest game show I have ever seen. Usually these Japanese game shows are just super weird, like where guys get kicked in the balls by a ball kicking machine, or do dance moves while farting, but this is almost too much to take. As a warning people are going to put creepy things in their mouth. That's what she said.
I think my favorite thing about all these shows are the priceless reactions from the contestants. You really know they're not faking it, kind of like your mom. Double burn. [via buzzfeed]
Earlier this week I read something about Ryan Adams making some music and it even had the insanely awesome quote that he "may have to dust off the bat signal this fall." Considering that is Ryan Adams slang for tour dates, I've been in heavy listening/excitement mode. This usually is what leads me to finding a Friday's Foreign Cover, because believe it or not it's actually kind of hard to find them if you aren't looking for something specific.
Luckily when I rang the youtube doorbell, Spaniard dosantosmiamor was there to answer albeit without a shirt. Here is his nice take on one of the more familiar tunes in Adams' catalog, Come Pick Me Up. If you like what you hear I should point out he also has versions of Halloweenhead and Oh My Sweet Carolina posted. Happy Friday everyone.
There were rumblings about South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker trying to put together a Broadway type musical about Mormons a couple years ago, which seemed easy to dismiss based on the various components and the whole Broadway factor. That is only if you forgot the first rule of fight club which is of course "Don't ever doubt the makers of Cartman."
THE BOOK OF MORMON, a new original musical comedy from “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Avenue Q composer and co-creator Robert Lopez, will premiere on Broadway in March, 2011. The world premiere will be directed by Jason Moore and Trey Parker.
“Growing up in Colorado, a lot of our friends were Mormons and we always thought their book would make a great musical,” Parker and Stone said. “We loved Avenue Q and are having a blast working with Bobby Lopez. Having a show on Broadway is a dream come true for us and we can’t wait to share THE BOOK OF MORMON with everyone.” [via bbbblogger]
That might be one of my favorite quotes the guys have ever said, "we always thought their book would make a great musical." It's as nonchalant as if they were talking about some Roald Dahl book. So awesome. Most of you are probably aware that Parker is a jedi musician aside from his dayjob as a funnyman, so the singing dancing bits will be nothing if not inspired. Is there anyone out there that honestly doesn't think this will be the greatest musical in the history of Mormon based musicals? I'm feeling pretty confident.
Just in case you forgot here is the South Park take on Joseph Smith and his dum dum dum dum dum story. Anyone want to make a trip to New York next march? [via twentyfourbit]
So apparently this is some guy on the news in Australia explaining how some local dogs came after him yesterday. It truly has to be seen to be believed. There is no way anyone has ever done a more convincing psycho dog imitation in history, Danza excluded obviously. [via warming glow]
We got some rain and clouds out in Los Angeles today so it's time for a little introspection. Of course we have to first put our Billy Ocean introspection through the fancy little Kids Incorporated filter. The result is magnificent as per usual. Just ask youtube.
rockman399 - wutz da deal here, i dont think ive seen this 1 b4.........did she fall in love with sum1 and has no gutz 2 tell him or sumthin?
DrmCom2003 - Its really a shame she didn't do more afterwards. She has such a genuine demeanor about her that really shines through when performing.
mistressfreyja1313 - She really makes you feel the cutting emotions of a strong crush. Renee was always the best when it came to putting emotion in her performances.
happy7117 - As a 31 yr. old guy, I never knew how much I missed the singing on this show untill I heard some songs on Youtube!! What a powerfull song sung from Renee!
Truer words have never been spoken, well except for that one time when Kelly Zigler told me I was incredibly handsome. Aside from that truer words have never been spoken. [via roadkill tshirts]
