Tim Burton To Make The Addams Family 3D

Sadly Tim Burton's next project will not be the Weekend At Bernie's remake, but how about The Addams Family?   Deadline is reporting Burton is set to direct a stop-motion animated film based on the original drawings by Charles Addams.  Obviously the success of Alice in Wonderland means the new project has to be in 3D.

Supposedly the film will be totally unrelated to the television show and previous film adaptations based on The Addams Family, and the intention is to return to the "litany of Addams illustrations that displayed a sharper wit than could be placed into a 60s family TV series".  Like duh, this is Tim Burton we are talking about.  We'll update you with more when it's announced but I'm pretty sure you can pencil in Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter for the voice roles of Gomez and Morticia respectively. 

Looks like Tim Burton's secret recipe worked its magic yet again.
