Devendra Banhart

Here is the official video for Devendra Banhart's infectious sunny pop ditty Baby off of last year's What Will We Be.  Even if you aren't into the tune, the video is worth watching if only so you can see how insanely awesome the drugs Devendra Banhart is doing are.  Now to be fair there is no visible drug use, nor have I ever partied with Mr Banhart personally, but I know the happy place when I see it and the land that Banhart and company are transported to is certainly a happy place.  

In fact it is so awesome I want to go there right now, except didn't it seem a bit weird how much the place their little pod entered resembled an anus?  I'm not really in to flying into an anus, even if it has this many awesome creatures everywhere.  At the very least I'd need to get pretty drunk first.  That's what she said.

If some people aside from Banhart appear a bit familiar don't worry, it's not the acid kicking in through osmosis.  Following in the footsteps of the recent Vampire Weekend guest filled video, Devendra brings a few of his buddies along as well including MGMT's Andrew VanWyngarden, The Strokes' Fabrizio Moretti, as well as Wu-Tang Clan's GZA.  Rock.   [via spinner]
