The Lost Indiana Jones Theme Song

Now I know why George Lucas had such a hard-on for remaking Indiana Jones, he just wanted to find a way to get this missing theme song in to the film's historical lore.  What I don't understand is why he didn't put it in part 4.  If that film had opened with this song we all would have been able to suspend our disbelief for the entire movie, as the absurdity surely would have gotten us in the mood for the parody based plot of the movie.  Had I known I was walking into a movie that was playing off the absurd like Monty Python or Airplane I surely would have enjoyed the hiding in a fridge during a nuclear explosion bit.

Thankfully it appears that Lucas is planning a fifth, so we can count on finally seeing this genius bit of 80's pop from L.B. Rayne on the big screen.  Another interesting tidbit you may have been unaware of, Lucas also got L.B. Rayne to work on some music for the Star Wars films, so that is the reason for those three pieces of crap from the late 90's.  via
