Paul McCartney Brings Up & Coming Tour To Hollywood Bowl

One of the many advantages of living in Los Angeles is having a historic venue that gets people excited.  I know this is nothing specific to Los Angeles but a night at the Hollywood Bowl has its own unique appeal that gets lost amongst the Gorges and Red Rocks of the world.  Apparently this year's Bowl season is going to get off to a pretty spectacular start considering that the newest, and first, show on the schedule is none other than Sir Paul McCartney.

The ex-Beatle's show is set for March 30th with tickets scheduled to go on sale this Sunday February 28th, with American Express and Fan Club presales beginning tomorrow.  There is also a rumor going around that a second show will be added for March 31st after the inevitable sellout Sunday, we'll keep you posted.  Tickets for the show will be sold through Ticketmaster and available here.

Of course for those not in Los Angeles, full tour details should be announced soon. For now the only other show is a March 28th engagement in Glendale, AZ at the historic Jobing.com Arena.  Sweet name.  Those tickets can be found here.

Friday's Foreign Covers: Silly Love Songs

I'm not sure if you guys have heard yet but there is a small rumor going around that Sir Paul McCartney may be appearing at this year's Bonnaroo.  A very exciting rumor, but just that, a rumor, as the initial lineup will not be revealed until this Tuesday February 9th.  In an effort to conjure up all the good juju possible, here is Japanese Paul McCartney and Wings tribute band called Flying Horses doing the Wings hit Silly Love Songs.  A pretty awesome version, hopefully that gets the force on our side for Tuesday's lineup announcement.

Paul McCartney Got A Feeling From Citi Field

November 17th is shaping up to be a pretty nice day for music fans as it marks the arrival of the new Them Crooked Vultures, John Mayer's fourth studio album Battle Studies, and Good Evening New York City, a CD/DVD combination package highlighting Paul McCartney's 3 night run at Citi Field.  Here is I've Got A Feeling to give you a taste of the awesome.  via

McCartney Rocks Letterman Marquee

Here is the video from Paul McCartney rocking the Ed Sullivan Marquee yesterday. He might be the coolest person on the planet. And just so we don't forget who the last band to rock that same marquee is.

Paul McCartney To Rock Citi Field In July

Paul McCartney is going to rock New York City for a couple nights in July at the new home of the New York Mets, Citi Field.

"I am really excited about playing Citi Field - The Beatles were the first to play at Shea Stadium and along with Billy Joel I was the last to sing at the old Shea. So to be the first to play this stadium is incredible. I am really looking forward to a buzzing show."

“Every time Paul McCartney steps on a stage is a special event because of the timelessness of the music and the enthusiasm and verve that this icon gives to each performance,” said Randy Phillips, President & CEO of AEG Live. “Christening Citi Field as a venue will give this concert the added weight of the historical significance of The Beatles appearance at Shea Stadium 44 years ago.”

Tickets are set to go on sale Monday, June 15 at 10:00 A.M. ET online exclusively at www.507TIXX.com and by phone at 718-507-TIXX.

The Fireman is a group made up of some guy named Youth and some other guy named Paul McCartney. This is considered "experimental McCartney" which means we should all be very happy and excited about it. When legends experiment it is usually fun to check out. The Fireman album features McCartney on all the instruments, fun. The good people over at NPR are streaming the exclusive first listen or whatever. Head on over there and check it out if you are interested.
