Brandon Flowers Goes Solo With Flamingo Or Is He Dancer?

Earlier this week a cryptic countdown appeared on The Killers website with the pot of gold at the end of the tunnel being the news that oft-winged frontman Brandon Flowers will be releasing a solo album which will be "coming soon". No other details are available as of yet so essentially there was a countdown for news that is coming soon, hooray. You can head over to his new solo site to sign up for the latest updates on the new solo album while a loop of what is presumably some new music plays in the background.   [via CoS]

Pretty impressive right?  Of course you are already familiar with Meet Me On The Equinox, and you've had your share of Thom Yorke recently, what are your thoughts on the album that appears to be shaping up as this fall's [amazon B001KVW574], on which SHA favorites and New Moon soundtrack participants Grizzly Bear and Bon Iver also appeared.  The soundtrack is set for an October 20th release, the movie a month later, Nov 20.

I know The Killers are popular, and I have enjoyed many of their songs in my day - but someone needs to let Brandon Flowers know that he is not the cat's pajamas. If allowed the platform, I'd gladly volunteer to fill that role. Bravo, Brandon. You've uber douched yourself yet again.

Dear God, Make Brandon Flowers a bird so he can fly far, far far away from here

So many questions. Why are you doing this to your band? Isn't it bad enough that you drive me to the brink of insanity every time you ask me if I'm human or dancer, yet get stuck in my head for long periods of time like some karmic punishment? And to the rest of the band, why are you standing for this? You cannot tell me a little bit of you doesn't die inside every time you see the clips from your new video.
