My Morning Jacket To Play 5 Albums In 5 Nights At Terminal 5
Holy Caped Crusader this sounds fun. My Morning Jacket have just announced a run of shows in New York City where the band will play one of their studio albums in their entirety each night. Five is definitely the theme for this run as the band will play five shows, one for each studio album in their catalog, at Terminal 5 in New York City. The sorta-residency will kick off October 18th with the band's debut The Tennessee Fire.
Of added awesome, and to fill out the rest of the evening, the official wording states the band will play a full length album "along with additional songs and covers from each album’s time period." Well, that's an eleven year span if I can still do arithmetic so be prepared for some fun covers hijacking your memory lane. Tickets for the shows go on pre-sale starting June 14th with a general onsale on the 18th. For the more adventurous, and thereby awesome, five day packages will be available for $205, not too shabby. For more information on tickets head over to the Terminal 5 website.
