Phish To Open Hall Of Fame Ceremony With Genesis Covers

The image above is all the proof I can offer but it is a screenshot taken from the Fuse.tv site so you can go and verify that for yourself.  It has been known for a while that Trey would be doing the introduction for Genesis' induction into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, but the news of Phish performing had been kept under wraps until now.  Officially at least. The event takes place and will be broadcast live on Fuse but the VH1 reruns probably won't start for a few weeks.

This isn't too shocking considering one of the campgrounds at Festival 8 was The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, but it'll be interesting to hear the boys take on some of the later Phil Collins led material.  Either way very exciting, and please play Turn It On Again, or Abacab.  That's all.

Phish will perform at tonight's 2010 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony beginning at 8:30PM EST. The private ceremony will take place at The Waldorf-Astoria tonight and will be televised live on FuseTV and at http://www.fuse.tv . In addition, Trey will have the privilege of inducting Genesis into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the ceremony.
