Download The Title Track "Circuital" From My Morning Jacket's New Album

We've still got a ways to go but we're getting there. Seems like a lyric but more just an accurate statement as to the impending release of My Morning Jacket's sixth full length studio album Circuital, the band's first since 2008's Evil Urges. Thankfully Jim James and company have thrown us a proverbial bone by offering up a free download of the title track, which just so happens to encapuslate much of the My Morning Jacket experience in its seven minutes and seventeen seconds. The album doesn't hit stores until May 31st so you can safely expect some more bones to be thrown your way, or else you are going to have to listen to "Circuital" quite a few times in the next fifty days, not like we're counting or anything.

As is the standard nowadays for bands with their heads removed from any orifices, the Kentucky based rockers are offering up all sorts of pre-order goodies like a box set, fancy vinyl or really whatever you want, although I'm hearing the 8-tracks are on backorder. In addition to the Circuital business is the launch of Roll Call, the band's new fan club service which will run you $29.99 a year and includes the following:

• First access to presale tickets (when available)
• 24/7 access to members’ only site (to be launched Summer of 2011)
• A Welcome Letter from My Morning Jacket
• One My Morning Jacket t-shirt exclusively available to Roll Call members
• One My Morning Jacket poster exclusively available to Roll Call members
• One Roll Call Membership Card
• Where possible, a special Roll Call - only Will Call line at shows
• First access to MMJ’s ‘Self-Hypnosis’ series
• Exclusive music ONLY available to Roll Call members (extras, b-sides, demos, live songs, etc...)
• And much more!

Much more you say? Well then, count me in. Hopefully somewhere in there is the inclusion of reasonably priced tickets. You can stream the new track through Soundcloud courtesy of One Thirty BPM or you can download your own copy through the fancy MMJ widget below.

Fantastic Iron & Wine Daytrotter Session Features Three New Tunes

I'll be pretty straightforward here, if you can't find something to enjoy in the brand new Iron & Wine Daytrotter session you may have no soul. It's not like that's necessarily a bad thing, think about all the things you can avoid with no soul. Presumably heaven and hell for one, not to mention skipping out on familial responsibilities and such. I once vowed never to do anyone a favor again for the rest of my life, which you could probably follow through on sans soul.

Adding to the awesome is the appearance of three of the songs from the upcoming album Kiss Each Other Clean which won't be released until January 25th. Check out the gorgeous opener set opener "Tree By The River" streaming below if you don't believe me. Once your faith is restored and you realize you are traveling through this mess with a soul in tow head on over to the Daytrotter site and download the rest of the set, just make sure you read Sean Moeller's fantastic write up while you are there. Oh music, thanks for making me feel better.

Awesome Update: Now with video of the opener thanks to the awesome Twenty Four Bit by way of Pop Candy. Great stuff.

Brad Did A Daytrotter Session And It's Really Great, True Story

I missed posting this last week when it first hit the Daytrotter site but that wasn't because it's worth missing, I just was out of town and was out of my daily routine of Daytrotter listening. Boring story but worth mentioning only because it's a really fantastic session featuring SHA favorites Brad. As opposed to their recent publicity tour standards of "Low" and "Every Whisper", Shawn Smith and company stick to some of the softer numbers from their catalog, with the past albums represented by Welcome To Discovery Park's "Never Let Each Other Down" opening the set and Interior's "Upon My Shoulders" closing the set. Of course the band didn't forget about Best Friends? so you get "Bless Me Father" and "Price Of Love" sandwiched in the middle.

You can check out the silky smooth "Never Let Each Other Down" below to see that I'm serious about the really great part, then you should head over to the Daytrotter page and download it. For free, because Daytrotter is awesome. Also included to help satiate your Brad appetite there is a video of the band recording "Upon My Shoulders" from the session. Good Stuff.

Uncool Update: The video is sucking, you can check it out at the official Brad site.

Watch Benevento Russo Duo Acoustic Becky, Download Entire Show

Last Friday night Super Hella Awesome favorites Marco Benevento and Joe Russo combined forces for the one and only Duo show of 2010, an acoustic affair at New York City's Highline Ballroom. For those that weren't able to attend the show I have some great news for you, the most important of which would be that Marco informed the crowd the Duo were still very much in cahoots, and actually intend to record new music together this year. Putting the cart in front of the horse it seems the world could be gifted a new Duo album next year, and one would hope a few shows in support of it. Heaven forbid a full fledged tour.

The other bits of news are more of the immediate consumption variety as we have a killer video below of the band's final song of the evening "Becky". Thanks to Clinton Vadnais for the unbelievably great vid (if you have any more from the show please let us know). As a small sampling of The Duo's only performance of the year will do, you are probably now bitter that you can't bask in the rest of the awesome, but have no fear as the amazing NYC Taper covered the show and now has a crisp copy of the show up for download. Head on over to his website for the deets, just don't forget to say thank you.

Local Natives World News Video Needs Oxygen, Download NYC Recording

Doubling up on the Local Natives news here. The first bit would be their beautiful new video for World News off their killer Gorilla Manor album. The video has everything a successful video needs, girls in a kiddie pool with fruit juice, dogs catching frisbees, a picnic with oxygen masks, and the beach. I really need to spend a day doing everything in this Matthew Lessner directed video, he must really know how to party.

In related news the always awesome NYC Taper done gone and taped the Natives recent visit to the Bowery Ballroom. You can head over here to download the entire set, including a cover of The Talking Heads' Warning Sign with David Byrne in the house. Byrne is only watching unfortunately. Enjoy.   [via pitchfork]

Check Out Factory, The Latest From The New Band Of Horses

Here is our third taste of the new Band Of Horses album Infinite Arms, the opening track Factory.  I'm sure it's no coincidence that the three tracks the fellas have previewed this far also make up the opening trio of the disc, so if you listen to them in the right order it will be just like you're listening to the new cd, although it won't end the same.

You can check out a stream of Factory below courtesy of Fader, or use the widget to sign up for the mailing list to get your own copy.

Marco Benevento Announces Tour Dates, Awesome Free Single

What you're looking at above is the awesome album art for the new Marco Benevento album Between The Needles And Nightfall, which is slated for a May 11th release via The Royal Potato Family.  Marco really never stops making music in different places but his trio has detailed a lengthy official tour to support the album.  Unfortunately those jerk faces are skipping Los Angeles, but hopefully that will change.

In what seems to be turning into the industry standard, and what an awesome standard it is, Marco is making one of the tracks on the new album available for the price of an email address over at his super fun website.  The tune in question, It Came From You, is the eighth track off Between The Needles And Nightfall.  It of course is awesome.

Tour dates are listed after the jump, and not to soapbox you, but you should really make the effort to go see Marco.  He is the best.
