David Hasselhoff Does Porn For Sons Of Anarchy

In news that undoubtedly will set your heart a flutter, the one and only David Hasselhoff has signed on to join the boys of SAMCRO on the upcoming fourth season of FX's fantastic Sons Of Anarchy. In a role that sounds even better than last season's cleaner, played by Stephen King, the Hoff will fufill his life long destiny of joining the porn industry. Clearly the cheeseburger afficianado negotiated some anatomy descriptors in to his contract.

The former America's Got Talent judge will play Dondo, a well-endowed former porn star who is now making major coin by producing sleazy girl-on-girl adult films. Turns out Dondo was given a major career boost by Luanne (Dendrie Taylor) and gets involved in a little dirty work in her memory.

Sadly I've never met an adult film producer, but I can't imagine any of them fill the stereotype I envision any better than the Hoff. But wait, it gets better, sort of. Per showrunner/potty mouth extraordinaire Kurt Sutter comes the following mind-blower:

here's the best part... hoff and tom arnold in the same scene. say it ain't so, joe. say it ain't so...

Oh how I love thee Mr. Sutter. Season 4 of the third best show on television (1 - South Park, 2- Breaking Bad) starts some time this September.  [via tvguide]

Stephen King To Appear On Sons Of Anarchy

Whenever I'm watching an episode of Sons Of Anarchy I usually only have one complaint, needs more Stephen King.  Truth be told I can never get enough of Mr. King, he's like the scary writer version of Tony Danza, or mahi mahi. Either way looks like we will get to see the spook master kicking it with some bikers this fall according to Entertainment Weekly.

King, who is a columnist for Entertainment Weekly, will play a quiet loner who appears in Gemma’s (Katey Sagal) time of need. The producers learned that King was a fan of the drama, so they reached out to the author for a possible cameo. King will appear in the third episode.

Awesome. Casting King as anything but a quiet loner would seem risky, and now we get to have him deal with Gemma? Color me tickled. Legendary actor Hal Holbrook has already been added to the cast for the third season as Gemma's dad, and series creator and all around badass Kurt Sutter recently announced that James Cosmo has also been added. Cosmo will play Kellan Ashby, "an irish priest connected to the RIRA". No word yet on if Conan O'Brien will be accepting his open invitation.

Sons Of Anarchy's third season is scheduled to premiere this fall on FX.

Hal Holbrook Going Biker, Signs On For Sons Of Anarchy

I'll be the first to admit I'm usually a bit late to the good television shows on cable party, but what I lack in speed I make up for in consumption.  I can now say with absolute authority that Sons Of Anarchy most definitely qualifies as Super Hella Awesome.  I would make the argument that it's the second best show on television these days, which in a lot of ways is really like being the best show on television because South Park is just on another level.  Either way the Sons Of Anarchy cast just got a bit older and awesomer.

The Wrap is reporting that legendary actor Hal Holbrook has signed on for a four episode run on the new season. This is no run of the mill old biker role either, as the 85 year old Holbrook will be playing Nate Madock, who is the father of Katey Sagal's Gemma Teller Morrow character, who is without a doubt the biggest badass on the show and possibly all of television. Production for the third season of the FX drama is scheduled to begin today with an aim for an early Fall premiere date.

Charlie Hunnam Wrote A Movie About A Young Dracula

I'm certainly not the first person to sing the accolades of the sheer awesomeness that is Kurt Sutter's Sons Of Anarchy, and I'm definitely not the first person to hate most vampire movies.  Luckily they are somewhat getting crossed into what can only be described as a Super Hella Awesome project.

Scott Kosar has been brought on to work on the screenplay for Summit Entertainment's "Vlad."

Actor Charlie Hunnam ("Sons of Anarchy") wrote the original script, which takes an action-oriented look at Dracula, or Vlad the Impaler, as a young prince. Music video director and photographer Anthony Mandler recently came aboard to direct the project and will shepherd Kosar's work on the screenplay.

Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner are producing through their Plan B shingle. Summit president of production Erik Feig and vp production Meredith Milton are overseeing the project. Jeremy Kleiner is shepherding for Plan B.  [via the hollywood reporter]

Of course for those that don't like to leave character, Hunnam is none other than SAMCRO badass Jax Teller.  Maybe this is really that book he's always reading that his dad left.  Maybe this is the new way of SAMCRO, screenwriting and getting into Hollywood.  Sounds like there might be a Wild Hogs 2 in our futures after all.

Kosar wrote some horror remakes as well as The Machinist.  It seems that theres some high hopes for director Mandler as well.

Mandler is a music-video director who has worked with Rhianna (helming 10 of her videos), the Killers and Eminem. Execs were wowed by the reel he prepared, which drew comparisons to Zack Snyder and his work on "300"; Summit tried to land the latter project before it ultimately was made at Warner Bros.

With "Vlad," Summit hopes to make a visually edgy and radical period movie that also will break a new talent.  [via heat vision]

My mom always said it's nice to have goals.
